Here the model M5, the first M Leica with incorporated lightmeter. Produced in 1973. Frames 35/50/90/135mm. Perfect present for a 50th birthday in 2022 !

At its time not so many produced because of its unusal design; nowadays popular BECAUSE of its timeless and harmonic superb design. Super-silent shutter release, manual setting of aperture and speed with lightmeter control by needle in the finder, precise manual focusing with bright rangefinder with wide basis, also for the fastest lenses.

ALL M Leica lenses can be used except very old 21 and 28mm versions; also collapsible lenses must not be collapsed completely on the camera.

The rarest of the older regular made in Germany M analog rangefinder models, only about 33000 pieces produced (for comparison: M2 over 80.000, M3 over 220.000, M4 over 50.000, M6 over 125.000).

Camera is presently in service-center for the promised servicing, and can be shipped from about 15th novembre on.
