The Zeiss Ikon Contarex system was at its time the absolute cream top of the german 35mm SLR production, not equalled in its technical refinement, workmanship and also: Its price.

It was not a coincidence that the name Contarex derived from the latin word "rex" (king). Its engineers had only one limit: Perfection.

The excellent fast aperture tele lens Sonnar 2/85 mm in silver chrome, filter size B56. Minimum focusing distance is 80 cm. Perfect manufacturing quality and optical performance, also under nowadays standards.

Number 3550726, year of production 1962.

The lens is presently in the service-center for the promised service, and can be shipped from about 15th december on.
