ZEISS IKON Contarex I Bullseye classic prime slr Planar 2/50

Timeless (design) classic by Zeiss, of the absolute prime camera series Contarex (word composed of Contax and Rex, latin for king).

At it’s time an almost unreachable dream for most normal amateur photographers.

Tested and working:

Shutter speeds (all running fine; 1 second maybe about 1,2-1,5 seconds, so within tolerance)

Transport movement

Exposure meter (moves fine, not tested to nowadays standards)

Selftimer (working, but too slow; about 20 seconds instead of 10)

Small dust in viewfinder.

So in really fine condition for a Bullseye.

Very late specimen, LAST series produced from end 1965 to end 1966.

Included is the outstanding quality Planar 2/50mm with very fine clean glass (only lightest internal appearances).

Lens produced in 1970.
