SCHNEIDER KREUZNACH Symmar-S 5,6/300 300mm F5,6 Multicoating

Top corrected long focal length lens by Schneider Kreuznach, matching also 8x10. Mounted in formerly highly expensive shutter Compur 3 and in nearest mint condition.

Serial number is 14364157. The weight is 1195 grams. The weight indicated refers to the lens with the caps taken off, otherwise as pictured.

Aperture can be closed to 64 in 1/3rd steps, the integrated shutter allows speeds of 1 second to 1/200th of a second + B.
Filter size is E95 or A100.

Lens has so-called Schneideritis in the front block (the white appearance). This has NOTHING to do with the lens elements or the optical performance. But is just loss of paint on inner barrel common with many Schneider lenses after some time.
