Interesting versatile fast aperture telezoom lens in Contax Zeiss former premium lens line. Matching all Contax (and Yashica) bodies with manual focusing.

In aperture priority and manual modes (AE version). Made in GERMANY.

Absolutely perfectly manufactured, including the smooth fascinating handling of the focusing ring and the softly click-stopping aperture ring. The fast maximum aperture does not only let you shoot on, when photographers with slower lenses already had to give up; it also renders a brighter view through your viewfinder, what really helps focusing and composing your subject.

Focusing down to 180cm, PLUS super macro position of 30cm; this means a maximum magnification ratio of about 1:2!!; aperture can be stopped down to 22. Filter size is 67.

Optical construction of 15 elements in 12 groups, weight 1145 grams of perfectly machined lens. Fantastic optical performance at all apertures, as you are used to by your ZEISS lenses.

Interesting in this lens is the fast aperture combined with the performance of fixed focal length lenses, and with this super macro position.

Can optionally also be adapted to Sony A7 and NEX, Fuji X, MFT, Canon EOS. On ALL AF and digital SLRs manual use only of course.
